Zorba the Greek

'Zorba the Greek' is Nikos Kazantzakis's classic tale of Zorba, a free thinker who lives life to the full. The character of Zorba is based on a real-life acquaintance of the author, George Zorbas, with whom Kazantkakis ran a lignite mine.
