The shortest history of Greece

Geography made Greece a vital lever between East and West, but it was the Greeks themselves, over the course of three millenia, who turned leverage into a political art-form which shaped the history of the world. Meanwhile, today's Greece - battered by austerity measures, a transit camp for the casualties of the Middle East, yet still defiantly proud of its values - may yet point the way ahead, like a modern oracle.
