"The Reappearance of Rachel Price" is a young adult psychological mystery-thriller by Holly Jackson about a daughter uncovering the truth behind her mother’s mysterious disappearance and shocking return.

The novel follows 18-year-old  Bel Price, whose life has been overshadowed by the disappearance of her mother, Rachel Price, sixteen years earlier. Rachel vanished on February 13, 2008, after taking toddler Bel to a mall in Berlin, New Hampshire. Security footage showed Rachel entering a coffeehouse but never leaving, and Bel was later found alone in her mother’s car. Despite a police investigation and the arrest of Bel’s father, Charlie, Rachel was never found, and Charlie was acquitted, leaving lingering public suspicion and family tension.
