Join us in this mixed-media art workshop to create an individual or group piece that will be displayed in the 'In-Between Lines' exhibit that explores adoption, mental health, and the mixed-race experience.
About the Workshop:
In this 90-minute session, we will be taking inspiration from artists of colour from around the world and looking at how they use the abstract to express their experiences and message. To do this we will be using different art mediums (such as paint, fabric, pencils and more). The work we produce will be displayed in the 'In-Between Lines' exhibit.
Everyone is welcome, but the workshops are aimed at children aged 7-11 years old, especially those from ethnic minorities and low socio-economic backgrounds.

About the Exhibition:
The 'In-Between Lines' exhibition is a project that is being developed by Student Fellows in the Exeter Decolonisation Network (EDN) that explores the mixed-race experience, mental health, and adoption. This workshop aims to get a child's perspective of these experiences as part of our project in September. For more information about this project please do not hesitate to get in contact!
